The term ‘bespoke’ refers to an item that has been custom made to your requirements. This could be a ring that combines elements of our existing designs, or a completely unique design that you have dreamed of owning. The bespoke process allows us to collaborate
and create a design that reflects you, to be treasured for generations. You can learn more about the bespoke process here.

Made to order refers to most of the fine jewellery designs featured on our website. We usually create one of each design initially, with multiples being created upon request. We believe in slow fashion; each one of our designs will be created just for you, minimising the unnecessary production of jewellery, and the impact on our earth.

Production times for made to order designs is generally 4-6 weeks. Sometimes, we may have a design available and in stock that is able to be sized to your correct ring size. If you require a design quickly, it is always best to get in touch before ordering to see if this is possible.

OOAK is an acronym for ‘one of a kind’.

If you see this mentioned on an item you love, it simply means that due to the rare or unique nature of the materials included in the design, only one of this item will be available. It is usually possible to alter an OOAK ring to your size, depending on design.

We have a whole page dedicated to this exact topic that you can find here. The best way to get started with your bespoke project is by submitting your enquiry via our online form.

It varies a lot! As a rule, it is best to allow a minimum of 2-3 months for the bespoke process. This is for a number of reasons, for example if the gemstone you’d like to work with is rare, it may take some time to source the perfect stone for you.

The initial design and sourcing stage of the bespoke process is also dependent upon how decisive you are when choosing the design, sometimes it can require several revisions. As soon as we enter into the production phase, we will require 6 weeks to create your dream design.

It depends on the stone! Gemstones can be found in many places around the globe, with certain locations famed for different colours of the same material.

When it comes to teal sapphires, our favourites tend to come from Madagascar, or Australia but it’s also possible to find them in Montana, US and Sri Lanka. We strive to source unexpected and unusual gemstones to use in our designs, so you’ll find a lot of teal sapphires, salt & pepper diamonds, and opals in our work.

We’ve put together a handy guide for you to discover more about the stones we use in our Gemstone Guide

Breathing new life into old designs is what we’re all about. Whether it’s recycling sentimental gold jewellery into brand new wedding bands, or taking heirloom gemstones and creating a modern statement piece, we believe that jewellery is meant to be enjoyed for many generations.

If you’d like to learn more about this, you can submit a request via our bespoke enquiry form.

We are unable to repair jewellery that has been created by another designer, we only accept repairs on our jewellery purchased through our own website or commissioned bespoke.

Get in touch here if you’d like to discuss a repair.

You’ll receive an order confirmation email from us as soon as your order has been placed. As soon as payment has cleared, we’ll get to work creating your jewellery.

If you’d like updates on your order, you can email us at hello@ivynixon.com.

As soon as your new jewellery is ready to make the journey to your hands, we’ll notify you via email with the tracking number and shipment details.

For our handmade made to order pieces, production times are generally 4-6 weeks. We aim to ship antique & vintage jewellery within 3-5 working days.

If you require a design by a certain date, please get in touch as we may have one in stock that is available to ship quickly.

Absolutely! We recommend having your finger professionally measured by a jeweller before ordering, however if this is not possible most of our designs are able to be resized after purchase for a small fee.

Yes! All of our jewellery is created in our East London studio. It’s possible to arrange a visit to discuss bespoke projects, view existing designs, or have an informal chat about redesigning your heirloom jewellery.

Studio visits are by appointment only, get in touch to arrange your visit!
